The Get It Done Workshop is a facilitated co-working workshop where participants can work on projects that don’t fit into the day-to-day schedule but need to be done. They will learn some techniques for carving out workable time amid their busy schedule, increasing productivity, and improving your employees' overall happiness. The Get It Done Workshop can also act as a recurring experience that creates space for consistent connection and collaboration between different teams and departments.

Examples of what this could look like:

  • Writing documentation of processes or code

  • Skill sharing by writing an article for an internal newsletter or by putting together a presentation

  • Writing a technical design brief or a strategy doc

  • Creating a proposal or pitch deck (this would look different based on role)

  • Writing self-reviews or 360 reviews for teammates (if the company is at that point in the annual review cycle)

  • Cleaning up tech debt

  • Creating a small prototype

They can create and work on anything they want, but the goal is to complete something that keeps getting pushed to “later” on their list in one hour or less.

How does it work? 

  1. Your employees get a Get It Done Pre-Play Workbook to help them set an intention for the Get It Done Day.

  2. For one hour, everyone comes together individually or via Zoom to work on their chosen project with my guidance and support.

  3. You will leave the day feeling super productive and empowered, having learned the process and the next steps for when you’ll work on it. 

  4. I can be available for a monthly workshop or provide supporting materials for your employees to meet independently and facilitate their own Get It Done Workshops.

Who am I?

 Hi, I’m Shenee Howard! I’m a brand strategist and writer. I run a membership called Professionally Creative, a co-working and collaborative space for people to make space for their creativity. In addition to my work as a facilitator, I’m a novelist, content creator, and screenwriter with the published book Dear Plant Daddy and an Audible Original Koreaboo. Both projects were written and created during these Get It Done Days, so I know the power of carving out the space to do the work.
